Meditation For Child
By Leeanne Utiger For those of you are genuinely concerned about your child’s education, his or her ability to focus properly, or to simply find some form of balance in your child, maybe you should consider looking into meditation for your child. Who knows, maybe mediation for you child will in fact help with all of above worries and concerns. I guess in the past meditation has been thought of something that an adult may consider taking up to help them with an area or aspect of their, life. Well now it is acceptable for a child to also turn towards mediation to help with aspects of their lives too.
I am sure you would rather try to get your child more focused with the use of meditation than being too quickly diagnosed from the medical profession the need for Prozac or other such medications. And yes, unfortunately these days, too many children are quickly prescribed such medications and drugs. So how about you, take a step back away from the medical profession and try your child at meditation.
Believe or not, a child can also feel stressed and suffer stress just as an adult can. In fact the stress an adult may be feeling within a family can very easily be passed on to a child within that very family. Basically one persons stress can in turn create stress in another, and on the occasion, this can be a child to whom the stress is being passed on to. Therefore we need to find a way to cure your stress and then eliminate the stress the child has gained. The use of meditation can do just this for your child. All without the use of prescribed medications. And of course there are other things that can contribute to a child having stress. Peer pressure is one of these things, and have you ever stopped to think whether you could be causing your child to feel pressured with the sport he or she participates in..?
Stress is relieved by a deep relaxation. As you will well know, when we are asleep we are obviously relaxed, but sometimes sleep is just not enough to relieve all the stress a child can be holding within themselves. Meditation is a perfect technique for relaxation, so suggest meditation to your child as a way of helping him or her. It is known that Psychologists have given their approval of meditation being an appropriate and successful techniques used for a child to become more balanced and focused on areas of their life, therefore eliminating any stressful feelings the child may have.
Apparently these psychologists believe, that the more a child uses meditation, and becomes in sync with ones body and feelings, the more likely these children will be at veering away from stress and the likes in later life.
Mediation for a child will in fact help them feel more powerful. Mediation will teach the child about their emotions and how to completely understand them. This is due to self-acceptance and understanding of themselves.
Meditation has been known to help a child with the following things:
Anxiety
Concentration
Ability to deal with stress
Awareness
Memory
Creativity
Now don't you think you would rather have your child try the technique of meditation before seeking medical advice. Once you and your child learn all there is to learn about how to meditate from a person who knows exactly how to meditate efficiently and appropriately, you will be able to both meditate by yourselves at home.
When you take your child along to learn how to meditate, you will both be shown and taught different meditation techniques and activities. These meditation activities will be activities that your child can do at home, or even on their way to school.
So what are you waiting for? How about you try to find out all you can about meditation and whether meditation could be what your child needs.
