Healthy Diet Food - Healthy Eating Recipe
By Leeanne Utiger Many of us these days like to be as conscientious about health and be aware of what is healthy to eat as we can be. There are many healthy recipes readily available and many healthy diet foods that we can readily purchase from varying places. These being: our local supermarket, or our local fruit and vegetable store.
If you are a person just beginning to know more about healthy diet foods and healthy recipes for the whole family to be eating, then this article is for you to be reading. You should walk away learning enough about diet foods and with a free healthy recipe for your enjoyment. I am going to discuss briefly for you how to be eating healthy and what sort of foods are suitable for a healthy diet. I will also give you an example of a healthy recipe for you to prepare and try out on your family. If you find you enjoy the healthy recipe that I provide, you may then like to share the healthy recipe with someone else you know.
It is of utmost importance to be eating healthy foods in your daily diet to remain fit and healthy. Eating healthy foods in your daily diet will in fact keep your energy levels up where they belong. And we all know that having sufficient energy levels helps us to function adequately. In addition to these two things, when you remain eating healthy foods, you are at the same time lowering the chances for disease and illness to strike you.
Now as I said, I am going to provide a list of healthy foods you should be including in your daily diet. This I will list below for your reference.
List of Healthy Foods for a Daily Diet:
Fresh fruit - this could include: apples, oranges, nectarines, peaches, bananas, kiwifruit, watermelon, rock melon, grapes etc. (any fresh fruit is considered to be a daily healthy diet food)
Fresh vegetables - celery, potatoes (limited) because they are carbohydrates, kumara (otherwise known as sweet potato), pumpkin, corn (not drenched in butter), yams, silver beet, spinach, lettuce, tomatoes, radishes, carrots, broccoli, cauliflower (not drowned in cheese sauce) and all other vegetables imaginable. Remember any vegetable is considered to be a healthy food that can be eaten on a day to day basis. However this does not mean you have to include EVERY vegetable and EVERY fruit in your daily list of healthy food for your diet. You can mix and match and change what fruit and what vegetables you want from one day to the next.
Other healthy foods that can be included in a daily diet are:
Cracker biscuits
Limited eggs
Soups
Strawberries
Low fat milk
Low fat yoghurt
Lean meat
Poultry
3 ounces of grains in your daily healthy diet
When you are eating lean meats, it is advisable to grill these. This will eliminate any excess fat you do not want to be eating in your healthy daily foods diet. Of course there are other foods you can eat which are also healthy and can be included in a healthy daily diet or diet plan. Simply remember to check the labels on the back of all packaged foods and snacks when you purchase them. If you buy low fat you are doing pretty well.
Now as promised I have a healthy eating recipe for you to try and prepare for yourself.
Healthy Eating recipe:
For this healthy eating recipe you will have to make sure you have on hand:
1 cup uncooked white rice
1 cup of water
¼ pound ground lean beef
1 small onion (chopped)
1 ½ cups frozen broccoli florets
½ red pepper sliced thinly
2 tablespoons stir fry sauce (you can purchase this from any local supermarket)
2 tablespoons of water
½ teaspoon grated ginger root
Now you will need to know how to prepare and cook this healthy eating recipe.
First of all when you begin to cook this healthy eating recipe, you will have to boil the rice you have aside for the recipe as per the instructions on the packaging of the rice. Then in a medium skillet, you can brown your lean beef. Add the chopped up onion to the skillet with the lean beef. Once the lean beef for this healthy eating recipe is cooked through, drain thoroughly. Then you simply just need to add all of the other ingredients to the skillet. Cook all of the ingredients you need for this healthy eating recipe together for five to six minutes. Once the vegetables are cooked through you can strain and serve up ready for eating. Now just simply serve the vegetable and beef mixture over rice. There is nothing hard about this recipe now is there?
