Building Muscle Mass - Muscle Building Workout
By Jason Taingahue Do you want to learn how to build muscle mass? Then read on and I will explain to you how you can build muscle mass. Also I will include a muscle building workout that will help you on your way to that buff muscular look. Mass is the one for every one.
First of all we will cover building muscle mass and then we will look at a few muscle building workouts that will help s gains some muscle mass
When building muscle mass we must learn that the most important part of our muscle mass building is our diet. The saying "You are what you eat" is exactly that. I mean for instance, imagine that you are eating a cream doughnut before a workout. The sugar gives you a high and then quickly drops. Now imagine that you are eating an apple. The carbohydrates or energy food in the banana will give you energy.
Lets take a quick look at what carbohydrates and proteins are? There are two types of carbohydrates, simple carbohydrates, which are sugary carbohydrates and complex carbohydrates, which are more starchy foods like potatoes, pasta and bread. When learning how to build lean muscle mass we must understand that carbohydrates are the foods that give us energy. Lets take a look at proteins now. Proteins are what we call our building blocks or amino's. When you are doing a resistance training workout, muscle is actually broken down and it is the protein that helps us to rebuild this muscle and make it stronger. Some good sources of protein foods are egg whites, chicken, lean beef, fish and lentil beans.
When learning how to build muscle mass we must eat at least 5-6 small meals a day every 2-3 hours comprising of a serving of carbohydrates and a serving of protein at each meal. A serving is the amount of food that can be held in the palm of your hand. Some good carbohydrate foods that can be chosen from when learning to build muscle mass are bread, pasta, oats, bananas, potatoes and pumpkin. Some good sources of protein when building lean muscle mass are egg whites, tuna, chicken, lean beef and lentil beans. Also drink at least 2 liters of water a day when building lean mass too. Remember to avoid saturated fats as much as possible. Check the back of food packets for nutritional information and see how much saturated fat is in the actual product. Limit yourself to about under 50 grams a day if you can. Remember that we want to put on muscle mass and not fat.
The next step that we must take is to develop a muscle building work out and to do this I will give you about 3 workouts that you can follow. I have put up 3 muscle mass building workouts that you can follow because it also depends on your experience too. So follow the workout that suits you.

The muscle building exercises for this workout must be followed in a pyramid fashion, doing repetitions of 12, 10, 8, 6 and doing one exercise for each body part, with rest periods of between 1-2 minutes for each set.
Each level when following these mass building muscle workout routines has days that are not marked for the week at all. These days are your rest days. The body needs to recover from any strenuous workout and to do this it needs rest days to recover, rebuild and become stronger.
Also when following a muscle building workout, use a local gym if you are not familiar with exercises for each body part and ask a gym instructor if you are uncertain about something.
Last but not least, have fun. A muscle building workout is designed for specific purposes, but most of all, to have fun. So get to it and have a great workout.
