Building Healthy Relationship - Solving Relationship Problems
By Leeanne Utiger All of us all over the world are in one form of relationship or another. We all have relationships with someone in our life. Be that our parents, our siblings, our children, our partners.....they are all classed as a relationship. Every relationship needs building into something strong. It makes no difference if you are building a healthy relationship with your parents to building a healthy relationship with your partner. However in this article I am going to get more involved in talking about how to start building a healthy relationship with your partner. Further on in the article in a separate section, I will get into solving relationship problems, also with your partner. But bear in mind that what I have to say about building a healthy relationship with your partner, and what I have to say about solving relationship problems, you can take on and apply to other relationships involving other people in your life. Just simply use your discretion as to what is appropriate for each individual relationship and start building a healthy happy one. Or maybe you know of someone else who needs to learn a thing or two about solving relationship problems.
Building a Healthy Relationship with your Partner:
When we meet someone who we are interested in and want to get to know them better, hoping for a lasting healthy relationship, some building of the relationship has to be done. Now, not only one half of the relationship can do the building. It is healthy for both of you involved in a relationship to build it together. A healthy relationship is one where you can come together as individuals to become one and solidly begin building your relationship. Both lots of input into the relationship does in fact build a healthy and successful relationship. A part of building a healthy relationship is listening to each other and going from there. A relationship is not healthy if you can not communicate with each other. I mean to say, if you do not communicate openly about everything, your likes, your dislikes, what worries you, your fears, what sort of relationship do you really have? I will tell you. An unhealthy relationship. All relationships need building from scratch. How else are you to get to know one another? When we begin building a healthy relationship, we need to take into consideration ALL about the other. We have to learn to be accepting of the other as a whole, the all of who they are and what is in their life. You can not possibly begin building a healthy relationship if there are things in the other persons life you simply do not like and do not want there. If this is the case, you are wasting your time building what you hope to be a healthy relationship. You will be forever building. Know in your inner self that you like the other involved in your relationship completely and welcome all there is to them into your life. Only then can you even consider building a healthy relationship. When you both work together on building a healthy relationship, use these qualities and mannerisms: Trust, respect, loyalty, honesty, acceptance, communication, and respect.
Solving Relationship Problems:
When it comes to solving relationship problems, you need to consider if the relationship is one you really want to put energy into solving. Evaluate what sort of relationship you have with your partner first. If your relationship has not been a healthy relationship from the word go, maybe the problems you are having in the relationship are a sign for you to end it. This could in fact be a way to solve the problems you are having in a relationship. Especially if the problems within the relationship are constant.
Now if you have a healthy relationship and something arises from time to time, learning ways of solving these problems are imperative. Love is a very strong emotion and love can hurt and yet give us so many wonderful other feelings. However a relationship is unhealthy if it is bright red roses every single second of every single day. No one is perfect and we all have to accept the imperfections of our partners to make the relationship a healthy one and one that will last. So when it comes to solving problems that may arise, take a step back and try to see what has being the cause of the relationship problem. Was it really something caused by the both or one of you? Or was it something on the 'outside' invading your space, therefore causing a slight interference. Hen you begin solving problems such as these and others, you need to both take a breather, and then come together and communicate with each other. Expressing your feelings is a big part to solving any problems that may come up. When we look at solving relationship problems, it can seem daunting and at times nerve racking. It doesn't have to be. If you know your partner well enough and know that what you both have in your relationship is real and very true, solving relationship problems will just be an obstacle you both have to learn to over come together. Once you have learned the art to solving relationship problems, you may even find that you have fewer relationship problems arising that need solving. The main ingredient to solving relationship problems at any level is to communicate. So I suggest you get the art of communication down to a very fine art indeed.
