In this article I am going to tell you some information about the moods a bipolar disorder sufferer will go through. I will am also going to firstly go into some detail about the cause of bipolar disorder.

The Cause of Bipolar Disorder:
More often than not a person will attain bipolar disorder if in fact another family also has bipolar disorder, especially a parent or maybe even a grandparent. It is believed that bipolar disorder can be a genetic mental illness disorder and disease. Some believe that a cause of bipolar disorder is in fact a shortage or lack of Lithium in the brain. This is not known for sure, but Lithium is in fact a remedy and treatment used to help control bipolar disorder. It is also believed that over stimulation to the brain can be one of the causes of bipolar disorder.

However main causes of bipolar disorder are thought to be physical and emotional, mental and environmental conditions and situations that can contribute to bipolar disorder. Other considered causes of bipolar disorder are severe stress, traumatic loss, grief, deep un-diagnosed depression to name a few. Even the loss of a job to the birth of a child are thought to be causes of bipolar disorder. Bipolar disorder is a mental illness, therefore any condition that affects the brain and the power of thought can be a cause of bipolar disorder.

These are a few causes or 'thought to be' causes of bipolar disorder, so if you know of anyone that seems to be gong through a hard time mentally after any of the above situations, please keep a watchful eye on them. It can be possible for their health and their current state of condition to worsen and therefore become what is known as the disease: bipolar disorder. Many of the causes of bipolar disorder can go undetected as many situations that can cause bipolar disorder affect many of us anyway. It is being able to see the difference between a person who can have control over their feelings and thoughts surrounding such situations to those who seem to have no control at all over their thoughts and feelings when such a situation happens.

I am now going to give you some brief detail about the moods of a bipolar disorder sufferer. Moods in a person who suffers from bipolar disorder will swing very erratically. Moods can swing from 'highs' (mania) as I mentioned in the article above to 'lows' (depression) as I also mentioned in the article above. These moods are often very extreme. Moods attached to the bipolar disorder can also be quite frightening to onlookers or family members of a person who suffers from bipolar disorder. Moods can appear to be quite aggressive and in some cases with a person who has bipolar disorder, quite violent. Moods vary and can change at the click of a finger (so to speak), so if you have a teen with bipolar disorder, you can expect to be your teens worse enemy and then within seconds, your teens favorite and most supportive person in the whole world. For teens who suffer from bipolar disorder can be extremely loving. Have faith that the latter of the two are the true feelings your teen with bipolar disorder does hold for you. It is often hard for a person with bipolar disorder to control their moods, so therefore just end up 'going with the flow' of the mood that sets in their mind at any given time. Careless and thoughtless moods can also take over the mind of a person who has bipolar disorder, sometimes causing major misunderstanding or just complete astonishment regarding some of the strange judgment calls that such a sufferer can make.
