By Jason Taingahue
So what are the benefits of eating healthy? Do you know many of the hundreds of benefits of eating healthy? If you don't know any benefits of eating healthy or only a few, keep reading and I will explain to some of my favorite benefits of eating healthy.

First of all I will tell you some of my favorite benefits of eating healthy and then I will give you some healthy eating advice, they pretty much go hand and hand with each other.

Some of the benefits of eating healthy can help you maintain a healthy lifestyle for your entire life. Let me show you three important benefits of healthy eating. See if you can use these three benefits of healthy eating in your own diet.

Benefits of healthy eating can affect us when we are sick. When we get sick, like a cold or the flu or something like that we need nutrients to fight the germs that are in our bodies and these sources come from food. A healthy body does not completely recover the body from any sicknesses such as colds, but it sure does speed up the progress. This sure is a one the benefits of healthy eating, because we don't have time for sickness in our busy lives today.

The next of our benefits of healthy living is energy. Yep, that is right, our bodies energy. Energy comes from carbohydrates, which come from the foods we eat as well. There are 2 types of carbohydrates and they are complex and simple carbohydrates. The complex carbohydrates are used for more sustained energy and the simple carbohydrates are used for immediate energy. Carbohydrates are an important part of our body's daily needs and we all need them from one time to another.

The last of our benefits of healthy eating is protein. Protein is a great benefit for healthy living individuals because protein is how we build muscle. The protein comes from various foods and is broken down in the body into amino's and distributed into the body to repair broken down muscle tissue, which is something that most of us occur every day of our lives.

Well there are some of the benefits of healthy living, so now that you have those here is some healthy advice that you can follow as well.

Some of the healthy eating advice that you are given, may be different to the healthy eating advice that has been given to you from another person, it could even be a piece of healthy eating advice that you have red from a magazine article or a fitness book. Whatever the healthy eating advice is, try it yourself and then make the judgment. I find that through trial and error, any healthy eating advice can be manipulated to suit your own needs.

Anyway here is a base that you could follow for some healthy eating advice. This is designed so that you can add onto it with other pieces of advice that you may get from other sources.

The first piece of healthy eating advice that I can give you is to eat 5-6 small meals a day, every 2-3 hours and make sure that you have a portion of carbohydrates for energy and protein for repair in each of those meals.

Some more healthy eating advice is to make sure that you drink at least 2-3 liters of water a day, this hydrates the body and keeps it cool, especially when the core is extremely heated.

The last piece of healthy eating advice that I can give you is use healthy eating like a religion and eat the same time each day. You can also afford to have what we call one cheat meal a week, where you can eat one serving of what ever you like once a week. This will not affect you in your training, especially if it is only once. There are psychological reasons for doing this and beneficial psychological reasons too.
