Back Muscle Pain - Pulled Back Muscle
By Jason Taingahue Do you know much about back muscle pain? Do you know much about pulled back muscle? If you have answered no to these questions then read on and I will tell you a little bit about back muscle pain and also about pulled back muscle as well.
Back muscle pain is a pain to say the least. I am sure that most people suffer from back muscle pain some time in there lives. The most common of the back muscle pain is lower back muscle pain which occurs in what we call the coccyx or the tail bone of the spine.
Cause of lower back muscle pain can come from over weight or not using the appropriate lifting techniques when going down to pick something up. Not using the right techniques when going to pick something up like bending your knees puts extra stress on the lower back, causing back muscle pain. One way that we can counter back muscle pain is to take a four step approach and they are strengthen the abdominals, strengthen the back and stretch the back and last of all learn appropriate methods for all our daily movements such as picking things up or sitting up right in a chair.
Back muscle pain is usually attributed to such things that have happened over a period of time as well. Back muscle pain helps us to stabilize our bodies when ever we are asked to do any given tasks which require things such as lifting or pushing or even holding something for a given time.
Whatever you do with back muscle pain, just rest it up and ask for the help of a health or fitness professional, do not go and try to heal it with your own methods, you may cause more harm then recovery.
So what about pulled back muscle? What is pulled back muscle? Pulled back muscle is a muscle that has been takes to an overly exaggerated and extreme movement to the point at which it couldn't cope and has pulled. Basically, pulled back muscle is the over stretch of a muscle. Pulled back muscle will also result in extreme pain to the muscle itself, so some advice form myself is to sit down and take it easy until you are able to get a health professional to take a look at it and just like back muscle pain, do not try any of your own uneducated recovery procedures, leave it up to the professionals.
Last piece of advice that I can give you on pulled back muscle is to work out sensibly and always bend your knees for anything that involves using the back or picking something up. Save your back in the first place, otherwise a pulled back muscle may affect you for the rest of your life and limit you to things such as physical activities. That is physical activities both in and out of the gym and I am sure that you do not want this to happen to you.
If you think that you may have pulled back muscle then stop immediately what you are doing and tell someone around you to get a doctor or a health professional if you cannot move because of the pulled back muscle pain. Light stretches is mainly what the health professional will prescribe to you when you have pulled back muscle, they will be light stretches to regain some strength in the back. The physiotherapist is usually the professional that takes on these tasks for your recovery. Just listen to the physiotherapy and what they have to prescribe to you and you are on the fast track to recovery
